Acrylics (new techniques to me)

Been reading a new book about acrylic painting (title ?)
Studied laying in values with one color and then over painting with colors

Another exercise was painting faces in color -looking at the change color placement makes-I was just quickly playing

I took Julie Johnson art scribble Internet workshop and this is what I learned to do:
1) scribble art drawing (pen and white pen) shapes and values-

 2)cross hatching directional line and values a)pencil b)mirco pen c)pen and colored pencil

 3) grinding charcoal and using  brush and chammie cloth for values and shapes

 4) directional line drawing with graphite pencil

5)pen and colored pencils and white pencil

seeing values, shapes and lines was the focus of the work

I got an invite to one of willowing arts free workshop (technique collage and see changes as you make it your own by adding other mediums) Reflect feelings as you make your individual work of Art. I am very simplistic in the manner I do my artwork and like more realism rather than Whimsey and Doda's and Doodles as a lot of artist employ so here is my work :)

I had a TKR in May and haven't done any artwork since. Now having my new knee and energy I once again started an art project now (Oct 2015)  Our city had an out calling for non carved pumpkins to be on display at our library and commnity center. Here is mine:  (If you want to paint on a real pumpkin -seal the surface first with a sealent spray or the paint will not adhere) I painted the surface white,then added acrylic inks, then distress ink,,stenciled stars with pearlblue a ink, used images off the compueter of witches and a sign and adhered them with matte medium. I tied various ribbon around stem (left natural). I placed the pumpin on a charger (black purple) plate and covered it with a film
