I just studied Hanna Hock-dada artist (commenting/questioning about the times she lived in . I did my own study collage commenting/questioning my times. ..... "Women evolving from generation to generation--- leaving past generations looking for new avenues for a woman's life." I did not add any thing additional to the gessoed collage I liked the effect and color of the papers/photos themselves.

Studied Amedio Modigliani 1884-1920  out of proportion facial features and body parts (No iris in eyes, long necks, slopping shoulders, black outling, minimal color palette,portraits of women) done in a painterly fashion short acrylic strokes

Dear blog followers
I went over my blog and saw how creative with many processes I had been 2009 till 2013. The last two years I have neglected my art and have not done much. A blog is a good source to review oneself and ones endeavors. I am looking for outlets to rejuevenate my juices to do art regularly as before. I guess, creativity with art has been a dry spell for me and my focus has been in other areas. Recently,I have also examined creativity its meaning , arenas and testing. I have learned that I still approach each area of my life with creativity despite the fact that I might neglect one facet. Acknowledging this allows me to know  once applied I will be able to find my expression and joy in art work again. Look for some in the summer.

History of this blog

My six years of blogging and creating art-began with art dolls (soft)--my favorite form of creativity,then clay and mixed media sculpture dolls . This  lead me into the world of all the types of art with all the various materials that can be used I want to take this opportunity to thank all the mentors and peers who have shared with me their insights and knowledge of making art and--most importantly their friendship.

Studied laying in values with one color and then over painting with colors

Another exercise was painting faces in color -looking at the change color placement makes-I was just quickly playing

I took Julie Johnson art scribble Internet workshop and this is what I learned to do:
1) scribble art drawing (pen and white pen) shapes and values-

 2)cross hatching directional line and values a)pencil b)mirco pen c)pen and colored pencil

 3) grinding charcoal and using  brush and chammie cloth for values and shapes

 4) directional line drawing with graphite pencil

5)pen and colored pencils and white pencil

seeing values, shapes and lines was the focus of the work
